The word “Chetana” holds the profound meaning of consciousness, which is the very essence of all creation. It transcends boundaries, uniting all beings and things. The cultural progress of humanity is deeply rooted in our awareness of this universal consciousness. This awareness, a fusion of emotional intelligence and wisdom, is the core aspiration of education. Late Smt. Kusumtai Chaudhari, during the inception of this transformative educational movement, aptly suggested this name. Chetana, an education-focused trust, was established on September 9, 1969, under the guidance of the esteemed Balasaheb Madhukarrao Chaudhari. He has served as the former Education and Finance Minister of the Government of Maharashtra and as the Ex-Speaker of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. Chetana’s mission is to foster education that not only imparts knowledge but also nurtures emotional intelligence and wisdom, cultivating individuals who are not only academically proficient but also compassionate and wise.
